The weather forecast for today predicts showers or thundershowers in multiple provinces of Sri Lanka. According to the forecast, these conditions will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and North-western provinces, as well as in Galle, Matara, and Anuradhapura districts after 2.00 p.m.

Additionally, there may be showers or thundershowers in a few places in the Uva and Northern provinces, as well as in Polonnaruwa district during the afternoon or night. In the morning, showers or thundershowers are expected in the western coastal areas.

Misty conditions are likely in some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in Ampara district during the morning. The public is advised to take precautions to minimize damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
