As the Sinhala and Tamil New Year approaches, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has revealed plans for special bus services to accommodate travelers venturing to villages nationwide.
Deputy General Manager Panduka Swarnahansa announced the deployment of 200 special buses starting tomorrow, ensuring seamless travel from Colombo to various provinces for those participating in New Year festivities. Additionally, Sri Lanka Railways unveiled arrangements for special train services commencing April 10th, with 12 daily trains operating until April 15th.
These trains will connect Colombo Fort and Maradana with popular destinations such as Galle, Matara, Kandy, Hatton, Badulla, Bandarawela, and Nanu Oya, addressing the surge in travel demand during the holiday season.
