The Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) has announced its intention to challenge the injunction preventing the suspension of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka's party membership.

President’s Counsel Romesh de Silva conveyed this stance in court today on behalf of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.

The Colombo District Court has scheduled the consideration of objections for later in the day. The injunction, issued in response to a complaint by Fonseka, restricts SJB leaders from taking disciplinary action against him. The legal battle highlights internal tensions within the SJB.
