The Colombo District Court has issued an injunction preventing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) from taking any action to suspend the party membership of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka or stripping him of his positions within the party.

The court order, effective for a period of 14 days, specifically prohibits the SJB from ousting Field Marshal Fonseka, imposing disciplinary measures against him, or removing him from any posts within the party structure. This ruling comes in response to a petition filed by Fonseka himself.

Issued by Colombo District Judge Sandun Withana, the injunction targets key figures within the SJB leadership, including party leader Sajith Premadasa, General Secretary Ranjith Maddumabandara, Treasurer Harsha de Silva, and National Organizer Tissa Attanayake
