The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) today announced that water supply will be cut to several areas in Colombo. temporarily suspended on Saturday, February 10. The outage is expected to last 15 hours from 5:00 p.m. tomorrow until 8:00 am Sunday February 11th.

Areas affected include Colombo 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 where temporary water interruptions are expected. The NWSDB explained that this measure is necessary due to major maintenance work planned for the Ambathale Water Supply and Energy Conservation Project.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to make the necessary arrangements to solve the temporary water shortage in the specified time. The NWSDB has assured the public that maintenance work will be completed within the planned time frame to minimize disruption.
