In the wake of the unexpected dismissal of Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe earlier today, significant changes have been made to the Sri Lankan Cabinet, with Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Harin Fernando being sworn in as the new Ministers of Irrigation and Sports & Youth Affairs, respectively.

They took the oath of office as the Minister of Irrigation at the Presidential Secretariat. 

Fernando previosly served as the Minister of Sports and this is his second stint in the position. In addition, he will continue in his position as the Cabinet Minister of Tourism.
