Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe has accused Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) of coercing the International Cricket Council (ICC) into suspending Sri Lanka from international cricket. The Minister made these damning allegations during a media briefing held in Colombo, where he claimed to quote a letter purportedly sent by SLC to the ICC on November 7, 2023.

According to Ranasinghe, the letter, sent by SLC, played a pivotal role in the suspension of Sri Lanka from international cricket.
