Heavy rains wreaked havoc in several areas of Sri Lanka, causing widespread flooding and traffic disruptions.
Armour Street, Thunmulla Junction, and High-Level Road at Kirulapone were submerged, leading to significant traffic obstructions. Commuters faced challenges navigating through the inundated streets, with authorities urging caution and alternative routes.
In a separate incident, the Badulla-Welimada road encountered a major obstruction as an embankment collapsed onto the roadway in the Puhulpola area. The collapse resulted in the complete blockage of the road, disrupting the normal flow of traffic.
