In a devastating incident, a Grade 6 student lost their life, and five others sustained injuries, one critically, when a school wall collapsed in Wellampitiya. The victims were rushed to the National Hospital in Colombo for immediate medical attention.

The heartbreaking incident occurred when the wall unexpectedly collapsed, trapping the students beneath the rubble. 

Upon arrival at the National Hospital, medical staff attended to the injured students, providing urgent medical care. The critically injured student is under close observation as medical professionals work diligently to stabilize their condition.
