President Ranil Wickremesinghe has announced plans to establish four new universities in Sri Lanka. These institutions include the Sitawaka University of Science and Technology, the Kurunegala Institute of Technology University under the Kotelawala Defence University, and two innovative additions – the University of Management Technology and the International Climate Change University.
