President Ranil Wickremesinghe to Present 2024 Budget Report to Parliament Tomorrow: Final Preparatory Meeting Held Today

President Ranil Wickremesinghe, who also serves as the Minister of Finance, is set to present the 2024 budget report to Parliament tomorrow (13). The announcement was made following a comprehensive discussion about the final stages of the budget's preparation and delivery at the President's official residence today.

In attendance were key figures involved in the budgetary process, including Ministers of State for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and Shehan Semasuinghe. The discussion also included the participation of Presidential Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Staff Sagala Ratnayaka, President's Secretary Saman Ekanayake, Presidential Senior Adviser on Economic Affairs Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga, Treasury Secretary Mahinda Siriwardena, and Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe.
