The entrance road to the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) headquarters, located at Vidya Mawatha, Colombo, was temporarily closed today, owing to a planned protest against SLC officials, with demonstrators demanding their resignation. The closure led to disruptions in the vicinity, even affecting cricketers who had arrived for their practice sessions.

As the controversy over the SLC unfolded, the police temporarily closed off the access road to the SLC headquarters to ensure the safety and security of the area.

Demonstrators previously  gathered near the SLC headquarters, voicing their grievances and calling for the resignation of certain cricket officials. This development comes amid growing discontent and dissatisfaction within the cricket community and the public over Sri Lanka's recent cricket performances.
