Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel, Nimal Bandara, has confirmed that the Israel Police has identified the body of Sri Lankan Sujith Bandara Yatwara (48), who was suspected to have been taken as a hostage in the Hamas attack, through DNA samples obtained from his children.

Sujith Bandara Yatwara is unfortunately deceased, according to the Ambassador. 

Yatawara was reported missing afeter the Hamas attack on Israel on October 07. Efforts were underway to establish if he was among the poeple who were taken as hostages by the Militant group.
