Colombo Magistrate's Court Classifies Businessman Dinesh Schaffter's Death as a Criminal Act

The Colombo Magistrate's Court has officially declared the death of the late businessman, Dinesh Schaffter, to be a criminal act.

This decision was based on the findings of a 5-member Expert Panel that was appointed to investigate the circumstances surrounding Schaffter's demise.

The Expert Panel concluded that Schaffter's death resulted from the application of pressure to the neck and face areas, leading to the ruling that this tragic incident is indeed a crime.

The businessman was found dead in his own vehicle at the Borella in December, last year.
