The Second Roundtable Discussion on "From Crisis To Recovery - Forward Look" convened in Colombo under the auspices of President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

Building upon the significant groundwork laid during the inaugural meeting in December 2022, this roundtable forum delved into a comprehensive review of the government's reform programs, which aim to tackle crucial economic and structural challenges.

The primary focus has evolved from crisis recovery towards establishing a robust and sustainable trajectory for growth. The discussions encompassed a spectrum of topics, including the challenges and opportunities related to attracting investment, promoting private capital mobilization, generating employment opportunities, and reinforcing the ongoing commitments of both the government and its collaborative partners towards fostering a greener, more resilient, and inclusive development for Sri Lanka.

The participants included a distinguished assemblage of ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from renowned international bodies such as the IMF, World Bank, ADB, USAID, JICA, AIIB, and MIGA.

This confluence of public and private sector stakeholders and other development partners underlined a collective dedication to shaping the nation's future through economic and structural transformation, with an unwavering commitment to ensuring long-term sustainability and prosperity for Sri Lanka.
