The notorious underworld figure known as "Nawala Kunji" and three of his associates have been apprehended in connection with the daring Kotikawatta bank robbery. The arrest comes as a major development in the ongoing efforts to combat organized crime in Sri Lanka.

"Nawala Kunji," whose real identity remains concealed, has long been a subject of interest for authorities due to his alleged involvement in a multitude of criminal activities. The Kotikawatta bank robbery was a high-profile heist that left the nation in shock and demanded a swift and effective response from the police.

The police succeeded in tracking down "Nawala Kunji" and his associates, leading to their apprehension. 

The Kotikawatta bank robbery, in addition to the significant monetary loss suffered by the bank, had raised concerns about the increasing audacity of organized crime in Colombo.
