Sri Lankan para-athletes are making their mark on the international stage at the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China, clinching a series of impressive victories.
Samitha Dulan, an outstanding athlete, secured the Silver Medal in the Men's Javelin Throw (F64) event with an incredible throw that covered a remarkable distance of 64.09 meters. His remarkable performance adds to Sri Lanka's growing medals tally at the ongoing games, which now stands at two Golds and one Silver.
Para-athlete Pradeep Somasiri was the first to strike Gold for Sri Lanka in the Men's 1500m (T46) event. He clocked a remarkable time of 4 minutes and 5.14 seconds, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication.
Adding to the glory, Nuwan Indika delivered yet another Gold for Sri Lanka, displaying outstanding speed and agility in the Men's 100m (T44) event. He recorded an impressive time of 11.63 seconds.
The 2022 Asian Para Games, which commenced on October 22, will continue to run until October 28.
