The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has informed the Fort Magistrate's Court about credible information suggesting a potential terrorist attack aimed at releasing notorious underworld figure Nadun Chintaka, also known as 'Harak Kata'. The court has ordered a thorough investigation and a report on the findings.
Harak Kata, a prominent underworld gang leader involved in drug trafficking operations from Dubai, was apprehended earlier this year at the Dubai International Airport. His arrest was the culmination of a covert joint operation conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau and Interpol.
According to reports, Harak Kata was using the passport of a deceased individual when he was arrested at the airport. He had reportedly traveled to various countries, including Malaysia and Singapore, using the same fraudulent passport.
The CID's revelation of a potential terrorist attack to release Harak Kata has raised serious concerns about the security of detention facilities and the safety of law enforcement personnel.
