Sri Lanka Navy Intercepts Multi-Day Fishing Trawler with Suspected Heroin: Information Provided by SIS

In an operation based on information provided by the State Intelligence Service, the Sri Lanka Navy has apprehended a multi-day fishing trawler on the deep seas, uncovering a substantial stock of suspected heroin.

The vessel, along with its crew of five members, is currently en route to the Colombo Port under naval escort.

A spokesman said the interception was a result of the collaborative efforts between Sri Lanka's security forces and intelligence agencies in combating drug trafficking and illegal activities in the country's maritime regions.
