Sri Lankan national Anula Jayathilake, who had been reported missing in Israel, has been officially confirmed as deceased by Israeli authorities.

She had been working as a caregiver in Israel and tragically lost her life during the recent Hamas attack that occurred last week. 

Although Jayatilaka was reported missing, there was no official confirmation by authorities about the situation of the Sri Lankan national. 

Anula Jayathilake's remains are expected to be received by the Sri Lanka Embassy in Israel within the next two days, according to the statement provided by the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Israel. Measures are in place to ensure the safety of Sri LAnkans in Israel.
