Sri Lanka's star all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has undergone a surgery to repair a defect  in his hamstring muscle/tendon.

The procedure was carried out under the expertise of Professor Fares Haddad, and Hasaranga expressed his gratitude to both the surgeon and the dedicated hospital staff for their exceptional work.

The surgery signifies a crucial step in Hasaranga's path to recovery, aiming to address the hamstring muscle/tendon issue that had temporarily sidelined the talented cricketer. Wanindu Hasaranga, who has earned recognition for his remarkable skills in both batting and bowling, has been an integral part of the Sri Lankan cricket team.

It is still not clear as to for how long the cricketer will have to stay out of action. 

Hasaranga's announcement has been met with an outpouring of support and well wishes from fans and the cricketing community.
