Amidst the ongoing clashes between Israel and Palestine, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel has reported that one Sri Lankan national has been injured, while another has gone missing.
The injured Sri Lankan was identified as an employee of a tourist hotel in the region. The embassy's statement mentioned that there are approximately 8000 Sri Lankan nationals residing in Israel, with only a few in the southern conflict-affected area.
Concerns have risen regarding the missing Sri Lankan citizen, and the embassy has stated that if information about their whereabouts cannot be obtained, their details will be shared with the Red Cross for assistance in locating them.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka has assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and maintaining continuous coordination with Sri Lankan citizens residing in the areas affected by the conflict.
