A fire has erupted in a factory located in the Orugodawatte area of Colombo. The Fire Brigade reported to the scene to combat the blaze, which has sent plumes of thick smoke billowing into the sky.

As of the latest updates, a total of seven fire engines have been deployed to the site to bring the flames under control. Firefighters are working to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring structures.

The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and authorities are yet to determine what sparked the inferno.
