Airport Security in Peril?: Mysterious Man Detained at Airport En Route to Japan Without Documents

Negombo Acting Magistrate Indika Silva has issued an urgent order for a special investigation into the apprehension of an individual at Katunaike Bandaranaike International Airport, who was preparing to board a flight to Japan under suspicious circumstances. The arrest has raised concerns over potential threats to national security.

The arrested individual, identified as A.P. Sudagar Indrajith, a resident of Wattala Handala, has been remanded in custody until the 6th following the magistrate's directive.

According to information presented to the court, preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspect had previously worked in Japan and returned to Sri Lanka to get married. However, he reportedly informed his wife of his intention to return to Japan and left home on the 30th of September.

Alarming concerns were raised when it was discovered that the suspect lacked the necessary documents to travel to Japan. Authorities at the airport acted swiftly to detain Indrajith as he was about to board a plane to Japan, and the case was subsequently brought before the Negombo Acting Magistrate.
