Passengers traveling on two SriLankan Airlines flights, one bound for Nepal and the other for India, experienced significant disruptions as both flights were canceled this morning (Oct. 01) due to technical issues.
Flight UL 181, scheduled to depart for Kathmandu, Nepal, at 08:20 a.m. with 200 passengers on board, faced substantial delays before the airline officially announced the cancellation, citing technical difficulties with the aircraft.
In a parallel incident, another SriLankan Airlines flight heading for Mumbai, India, was also called off due to a technical problem affecting the aircraft.
The cancellations left hundreds of passengers in a state of inconvenience, with disrupted travel plans and unexpected delays. SriLankan Airlines, aware of the situation, promptly initiated measures to accommodate affected passengers by providing alternative arrangements.
