National cricketer Dinesh Chandimal has made a significant and generous donation of Rs. 20 million towards the construction of an indoor cricket facility at his Alma Mater, Dharmasoka College in Ambalangoda. This remarkable gesture has been met with gratitude and excitement from the school and cricketing community.
The indoor cricket facility, which will greatly benefit aspiring cricketers at the school, has been named after Ranjith Pandithage, a mentor and supporter of Chandimal during his early cricketing days in Colombo.
Chandimal, a prominent figure in Sri Lankan cricket and former Captain of the national team, expressed his deep attachment to Dharmasena College and the importance of giving back to his roots. He emphasized the role that the school played in nurturing his cricketing talent and helping him pursue his dreams in the sport.
