Police have apprehended an individual with approximately Rs. 1.2 million worth of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as 'Ice.'

Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officers detained the suspect while he was traveling in a luxury vehicle in Kawdana, Dehiwala.

At the time of the arrest, the police discovered 60 grams of 'Ice' in his possession.

During questioning, the 38-year-old suspect disclosed that he oversees the drug network led by Badowita Rajitha, also known as "Loku," who is currently evading authorities in Dubai.

The apprehended individual, who had previously faced multiple arrest warrants related to drug offenses and assaults involving bladed weapons, is scheduled to appear before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court.
