In a landmark event heralding a historic energy partnership and substantial investment in Sri Lanka, Sinopec's retail fuel operation was formally inaugurated during a ceremony held yesterday.
Sinopec's foray into the Sri Lankan fuel market will commence with the operation of 150 fuel stations, previously allocated from the state-owned CPC, and the establishment of an additional 50 brand-new fuel stations.
This energy collaboration is poised to enhance fuel availability, improve fuel quality, and bolster fuel affordability across the country.
The distinguished gathering at the launch included HE Qi Zhenhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Sri Lanka, Yang Junze, Executive Director of Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales, representatives from various ministries, government institutions, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, Sinopec Group, industry stakeholders, and Sinopec dealership partners.
