The Colombo Additional Magistrate has issued an order instructing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to release the remains of the late businessman, Dinesh Schaffter, to his family. This decision comes after the conclusion of postmortem examinations that aimed to shed light on the mysterious circumstances surrounding his death.
Dinesh Schaffter was discovered deceased in Borella Cemetery in December of the previous year, prompting a thorough investigation by law enforcement authorities. The circumstances surrounding his death raised questions and concerns, leading to a comprehensive postmortem examination in an attempt to uncover the cause and circumstances of his demise.
With the postmortem examinations now concluded, the Colombo Additional Magistrate has ruled that the remains of Mr. Schaffter should be handed over to his grieving family.
