Former Deputy Minister and Member of Parliament, Nishantha Mutuhettigama, has been remanded in custody until the 27th of this month. 

The order for his remand was issued by the Galle Magistrate Court.

Muthuhettigama faces charges related to an incident involving the illegal assembly of a jeep.
