State Minister of Finance Announces Allocation of Rs 2684 Million for Vital Welfare Allowances

In a move aimed at supporting vulnerable segments of society, the State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe, announced a substantial allocation of Rs 2684 million from the Treasury. These funds have been disbursed to all District Secretariats for the month of July, specifically earmarked for three critical welfare programs: Kidney Patients Allowance, Differently-abled Allowance, and Low-Income Elders Allowance.

This generous allocation underscores the government's commitment to providing essential financial assistance to those in need. The breakdown of the disbursement includes funds designated for Kidney Patients Allowance, Differently-abled Allowance, and Low-Income Elders Allowance.

Beneficiaries of the Low-Income Elders Allowance will be able to access their much-needed support through Post Offices, ensuring streamlined and convenient access to these vital funds.
