In Response to Dry Spell, Water Supply and Drainage Board Urges Public to Conserve Water The General Manager of the Water Supply and Drainage Board, Wasantha Illangasinghe, has issued a plea to the public, urging them to exercise extreme caution in water usage amidst the ongoing dry weather spell.

With several areas, particularly the Southern, North Western, North Central, and Northern provinces, facing heightened risks, the need for responsible water consumption has become all the more crucial.

Acknowledging the potential challenges posed by the dry weather conditions, Illangasinghe emphasized the importance of conserving water resources to ensure sustainable supply for essential needs.

The Water Supply and Drainage Board is actively working to mitigate any potential water shortages in the affected areas, but the cooperation of the public is essential to address the situation effectively.
