Wasantha Mudalige, the former convener of the Inter-University Students Federation, has been granted bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate.

The decision comes after his arrest by the Kurunduwatta Police on a warrant for failing to appear before the court.

Last year, Mudalige was detained for over three months under the Prevention of Terrorism Act due to his involvement in the Aragalaya.
