The Department of Motor Traffic has announced an extension of the validity period for temporary driving licenses issued between March 31, 2022, and June 30, 2023.

According to the new directive, every temporary driving license issued during this period will now be valid for two years from the date of expiry.

This decision comes as a relief for individuals who have obtained temporary driving licenses during the specified timeframe, as it provides them with an extended timeframe to utilize their licenses before renewal becomes necessary. The extension aims to ease the administrative burden on license holders and ensure a smoother transition for those awaiting their permanent driving licenses.
