Kandy Additional Magistrate, Mohammad Rafi, has issued a warrant for the arrest of veteran actor Ranjan Ramanayake.

Ramanayake failed to appear in court for a pending case related to allegations of obtaining 10 lakh rupees from a female teacher at a school in Kandy.

During the court proceedings, Judge Mohammad Rafi expressed dissatisfaction with Ramanayake's absence and issued a grand warrant, ordering law enforcement agencies to apprehend the actor. The judge also warned Ramanayake's bailiff, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter and the need for the accused to be produced in court.
