The Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE Committee) has summoned heads of five institutions, including SriLankan Airlines, to appear before the committee next week to check the progress of implementing the recommendations made by the committee in October 2021.
COPE Committee Chairman, MP Professor Ranjith Bandara, announced that the Land Reforms Commission, University Grants Commission, Vocational Training Authority, and Export Credit Insurance Corporation will also be called before the committee on different dates throughout the week.
SriLankan Airlines will appear on the 27th, the University Grants Commission on the 28th, the Export Credit Insurance Corporation on the 25th, the Land Reforms Commission on the 26th, and the Vocational Training Authority on May 9.
The summoning of these institutions highlights ongoing efforts to ensure accountability and progress in the implementation of recommendations made by parliamentary committees.
