The Special Task Force of the Police has arrested an underworld figure named "Jerome" in Athurugiriya.

He is known to be a close relative of Angoda Lokka, a member of an organized crime gang. The suspect was reportedly apprehended in the Millennium City area of Athurigiriya, based on information received by the officers of a special unit.

The suspect is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that occurred in the Homagama area on March 25 and is also believed to be involved in organized drug trafficking. Additionally, there are outstanding warrants for the suspect's arrest.

Following the arrest, the suspect has been handed over to the Athurigiriya police station for further investigation.
