One protestor who was injured during the protest by the National People’s Power (NPP) party last Sunday calling for elections remains in critical condition. The victim identified as Ajith Gamage is a resident of Kesbewa. He is a father of two. According to sources, his wife is a doctor while Gamage is an engineer working for a private firm. Following the tear gas and water cannon attack on the protest, Gamage remains in critical condition in the ICU at the National Hospital in Colombo.
