The office of the Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) – Janaka Ratnayake, has been sealed off by the Police after it obtained a court order from the Colombo Fort Magistrate.

The Police claim it received a complaint that a group was attempting to destroy important documents within the office and therefore it took steps to seal the office. The Chairman is currently overseas and will be allowed to open the office on his return.
