Ashu sends LoD to Hirunika and Adarsha over pet dog scandal

Politician Ashu Marasinghe who was accused of bestiality by Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Hirunika Premachandra and his former live-in partner Adarsha Karandana has sent letters of demand to the duo asking them to pay him Rs. 1.5 billion in damages over the claims.

The letter of demand says the amount is being requested for the publication of an edited video featuring the United National Party politician and giving an incorrect impression about him through it. The politician said these acts have brought disrepute to him.

It also said during the press conference held on 23 December, the duo misled the public which caused the public to form an unfavourable perception of him.

Accordingly, Marasinghe has demanded Premachandra pay him Rs. 500 million while he has demanded a whopping Rs. 1 billion from Karandana.
