Residents of the Glassaugh Estate have facilitated the very first university graduate from the area. Punniya Selvan, the son of estate workers, was celebrated by the residents after he recently graduated. In a now-viral video, residents were seen wishing Punniya Selvan and handing him flowers as he was taken to the estate in a celebratory procession.
