A stock of Rice donated by the people of Thailand was distributed in the Payagala mission area, by Poj Harnpol, Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka with Prof Ven. Walmoruwe Piyarathana Thera last week. Rev. Fr. Nirmal Malaka was also in attendance.

A total of 12 containers of rice was donated to Sri Lanka by the people of Thailand on the initiation of Ven. Walmoruwe Piyarathana Thera, a professor at the University of Chulalongkorn in Thailand. Distribution took place in Payagala as the first stage of the rice donation program.
