A dog in Bulathsinhala had reportedly managed to soften the hearts of the Bulathsinhala police and secure the release of his master after the man was arrested over a domestic disturbance. According to reports, the dog had followed the police jeep carrying his master for over 1 km and had walked into the police station going on to sprawl himself near the custody suite where his master was being held.
While the police had chased the dog away several times, he had continued to sneak in to sit near the custody suite. On inquiry the police found out, the dog called ‘Bindu’ was the pet of the man in custody. Bindu his tail wagging had walked up to his master after the door of the suite was opened.
Softened after seeing the relationship between the man and dog, the OIC had taken steps to advise the man and release him on bail. It is said the man and Bindu were seen happily walking back home.
