The Child Protection Authority and the Women's Bureau operating under the State Ministry of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment have introduced two hotline numbers for the public to report problems faced by children and women.

The state ministry says that the problems faced by children can be submitted to the number 1929 round the clock and complaints related to women can be submitted to the number 1938 on workdays from 8.30 am to 5.15 pm.

The ministry said that complaints can be submitted in all three languages ​​namely Sinhala, Tamil and English.
