Issuing a notice to customers and the public, Litro gas requested that all cylinders brought to Litro gas distribution points be empty and bear the marking of Litro gas only. The company stressed that distribution points cannot accept cylinders with alternative markings.

The company also informed its dealers and distributors that they are only allowed to accept only Litro gas cylinders marked as either ‘Litro Gas’, ‘Shell Gas’, ‘Colombo Gas’ or ‘Lanka Gas’. It stressed that no Litro dealer can accept or transport competing brand's cylinders.

The company said that it has come to their notice that various parties are accepting gas cylinders from other companies to be exchanged for Litro gas cylinders. It also requested the public to call 1311 to report any fraudulent activities relating to cylinders or to inform of the same to the Police.
