Anuradhapura district MP Dr Channa Jayasumana has blamed MP Namal Rajapaksa for the undoing of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. According to Jayasumana, Rajapaksa fell victim to incorrect advice given by his nephew Namal and a few others in the Rajapaksa family. “Instead of taking advice from experts or even his own brother Mahinda Rajapaksa, the former President listened to the likes of Namal and several others in the family. They are responsible for his fall and the eventual destruction of the country,” he said.
He said the former President initially consulted with academics, professionals and experts for advice but later discarded them. “Had he listened to them this disaster would not have occured,” he said.
