Reliable sources from the Sri Lanka Navy say the six personnel from its intelligence unit that went missing in the Southern seas while on patrol in a fishing trawler is likely to have migrated illegally. Given the location they went missing, it is believed they have headed towards Australia.

A multi-day fishing trawler carrying several sailors on patrol has gone missing off Sri Lankan waters last week. The Navy has not been able to contact or locate the personnel since. Six personnel are believed to have been on board at the time.
