The reason for the error messages received by applicants for the US Diversity Visa Program for 2024 was due to global demand for registration, the US Embassy said in a statement today (12).

The embassy said applicants had received error messages when accessing dvprogram.state.gov to apply for a green card.

“The reason for these errors is the global demand for registration. Please be patient and keep trying," added the US Embassy in Colombo.

Applications for the Diversity Visa Program 2024 will be accepted until 10:30 p.m. on November 8, 2022, the US State Department said.

Each year, the Diversity Visa Program grants permanent residency to more than 50,000 randomly selected individuals from countries across the world.
