Eric Solheim, Former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program, arrived on the island yesterday (10) afternoon. He will meet President Ranil Wickremesinghe today. 

Solheim is expected to remain in Sri Lanka till Wednesday. During Sri Lanka’s conflict years he served as the mediator between the Government and the LTTE and later led the peace talks between the Sri Lankan government and the terror outfit.
