The CEYPETCO has issued a statement regarding a statement made by Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara at a press conference held yesterday about frauds taking place within the organisation.

The announcement of the CEYPETCO states that a statement by Dayasiri Jayasekara about it is false, baseless and deliberately made to create hatred against it among the people. The CEYPETCO has strongly rejected the statement made by the MP.

It said it always follows the tender system and the government-approved procurement process while importing fuel and the procurement process has been carried out at minimum prices by confirming the quality of fuel. The CEYPETCO said it will initiate legal action against Dayasiri for the statement and similar statements made in the past.
